Oh I love that one as well. A lot of them crack me up.
Jared is also from Texas...he just doesn't wear it as much as Jenson does. Which is probably why I perfer Jared, guess when you are from the states Texas
just is a State and because I am from the South a Southern accent doesn't do it for me....I've got one that comes out to play when I'm drunk, but
drunk vicky is also English and from Brooklyn depending on the topic of conversation.
I haven't been on the bords much cause I've been actually kind of busy, if it weren't for this page being one of my homepages I would have never
noticed the comments part. When I have time I will stop in there and chit chat. Original comment »
Reply from Bethgael: You'd be right about the nationality thing. I mean, some of my online o/s friends talk about how Hugh Jackman or Russell Crowe have these sexy accents, and
I'm thinking "they have an accent?"
I do find the "broad" Texan coarse, though (same with Scots brogue. I find the Glaswegian or Edinburgh accent--Gerry, for example--hotter than Sean
Connery-esque). It's those quiet low voices that get me. Jared is damned hot, but I just won't let myself say that too often because he's not that
much older than my eldest son...
Jensen akles is mundo Yummy as well....although I find the guy that plys Sam, (its pateleki or something, right) is way more attractive in that geeky kind of
hot. Which is my normal style. I've really been enjoying the Smallville and I agree with you on both Lex and Lana....GEESH I'm so glad she's
gone! From the first few episodes I was like, I freakin hate her, couldn't Clark get a woman with at least a little dignity---where is Lois??? Now
she is a force to be reconded with. Not your typical lois, but she's great. There was a V day episode where she got some red lipstic
that was laced with red krypotonite, I loved that episode.....well, until Clark went all psyco before he became himself again, but the heat between him and
I really don't mind the small bit of jelousy it's MUCH better than it was when we first started dating, almost didn't make it because of that
little green bug. But eventually he learned that the only person I'm with is him, period. I had more male friends than female friends back in highschool
so he'd often get upset about them....but later I found out that most people that went to school with us, those people who thought I was a bitch also
thought I was a slut sleeping with all of my friends...well they didn't mind calling me a bitch to my face, why not a slut? Shhesh, oh no they had to do
that one behind my back to the one person it mattered to. So after we got past all that mess he realized that I don't lie....ever.....and that trusting me
versus some stupid people who pretend to be his friend. Oh highschool, sometimes I wish I could go back with the knowledge I have now....naa to much drama! Original comment »
Reply from Bethgael: Man, I hear the green monster thing. I also had more male than female friends at school (well, as you've mentioned, the bytchy in the femme groups... ugh).
but never was more than friends with any of them. My ex didn't get it (s'pose he thinks men and women can't be friends? Maybe I should've been
worried about him ).
I like this Lois... and that V Day ep was excellent--also the one in which Lois is trying to work out if Olly is the Green Arrow and ends up macking Clark
as a result. Just brill (and Chloe's smug cracked me up).
And yesh... Jared (I own all the SN DvDs as well). He's a hottie... but a wee bit young for me, I s'pose. And Jensen's quiet Texan.... nice.
You should come and post these convos on Cass. We'd love to see you drop by again. :-D
LOL Justin Hartley is the REASON I started watching Smallville, when he changed from Passions (an illogical daytime soap that more or less makes fun of other
soaps) to Smallville, my interest was piqued even thought I detest superman....well lucky me, my bff is IN LOVE with superman so she had all of the past
seasons on DVD and I actually have found super man to be not so bad anymore....just don't try to make me watch any of those horrid movies again, the CGI on
EVERY superman is just plain awful. By the time the Green Arrow (aka Oliver Queen)showed, up I found myself very much in love with Lex, (where is he now
BTW), and really just plain feeling sorry for him. Another tick against our hero....really...poor Lex, if only Clark could have been honest like he was with
Oliver, Well, I suppose out of Olly he got his new Lex, in a way. Lex is just....different, and I, in a way, understand his justification for his
actions....sometimes he doesn't even realize what he's been doing wrong. Back to Justin, he is deffinatly yummy, but its the way he talks that really
makes me quiver. He's got-not so much an accent but he....I don't know how to explain it, its like he's got a voice box made of aphriadesiacs or
something....I don't know what I'd do if I ever actually heard the man speak IRL!!!!! My hubby got jelouse over the pic, I told him to get over it
because he's just as yummy to me I just don't want to share his yumminess! lol Original comment »
Reply from Bethgael: See, this is the advantage I have in being single again. I can perve without the jealous issue. ;-)
Not that I'd objectify the poor blokes. No, Uh-uh. *cough*
Erhm, seriously, now. I've always maintained that the Smallville Lex is one of the best-realised anti-heroes on modern television; generally
well-written, well-acted (although don't get me started on the Lana storyline. I mean, enough already, people. The relationship necromancy they perform
every damned season on those two... ugh).
And I reeeeeally understand the voice thing. If you look at my mens sidebar... Went, Gerry, Bale and Ackles all have their voices at a particular timbre;
something that just sets the old brain humming, with the accents (although in the cases of Bale and Gerry, it's mostly the accents). Josh Hartnett is
another one that, while I'm not particularly enamoured of him, his voice.... *shiver* Wentworth in particular; his voice is pitched at a level that just
does something strange to my spine.... Crispin Freeman, who voices Rude in FFVII:AC (and also Amon in Witch Hunter Robin, among others), as instantly
recognisable to me as James Earl Jones, for the same reason.
Been reading the first thread of A Continent Too Far (and enjoying it immensely). I never knew before you can build such beautiful places and beautiful people
with the Sims. :) Very nice indeed.
Reply from Bethgael: Oh! I'm glad you're enjoying it, especially
since that is the weakest of the three parts and I really, really want to edit it, but won't. Feel free to pop a comment on the story thread if you like,
of course (we like, even encourage, necromancy on story threads, just fyi). And I'm needy. ;)
I've used a lot of custom content, so can't take too much credit for some of the content in pics (although I did make some of the clothing recolours
myself)... although it is possible to do some nice stuff with the EAxis content. Possible. I have a list of credits on the Prequel thread.
