Reply from Bethgael: Aaaaah, I see (or hear, rather). And good choice of song, too: I've heard a more poppy version from 10 Things I Hate About You so I get the
differences in inflection and style. Thankee.
LOL uhh, that's a pic of a girl, actually. A gothic, warrior-ish, crow type girl hahaha - she's squatting over a gravestone with a celtic cross on it.
But I agree, it is rather suggestive, in a cold and painful sort of way *snicker* I'll have to put that pic in my folder here, when I finally decide to
tackle THAT task, so you can see it better.
What the HELL am I still doing up! You guys are corrupting me to no end, I cannot log off Cass!!! *stares blankly*
Been meaning to leave something here for you, but I wanted to air it out first. No sense stinking up your friend's profile page unless entirely necessary.
*holds out a bag of month old Tim Tams* I ordered them all the way from Australia... JUST FOR YOU! *looks at you beaming with pride at her original gift
Reply from Bethgael: Why... uh... thankyou Rhae. That is very considerate of you. :-)
I see your girl's back. I like her much better. The other guy looked like he was about to get that spike up where the sun don't shine.
There's this really funny musical comedian who talks about Pachelbel's Canon and its presence in a plethora of modern songs... I love trying to pick
out the different classical influences (especially when the musicians aren't even aware they're incorporating it). If I can find that link, it's
I'm resisting the urge to nag, since I know you mentioned a while back that you had a RL deadline... However, I AM eagerly awaiting an update... Any
update... I really can't pick, because I always simply want the one I read most recently.
Reply from Bethgael: Well, the good news is, I wrote some of ACTF3 last night!!!
Tha bad news is, it was only the first two paras of that chapter, then something up in about Ch 14 called me and I wrote some of that... but, hey, it's
a start. Isy's back in my head properly. Whoot.
Reno's Ch 8 is plodding along nicely, too.
Vivaldi's been a fave of mine since I was really young (you know, as they said in Beauty in the Beast, "if it ain't baroque, don't
fix it"). I'm also fond of the opera band Amici; I'm not sure why I didn't put them on there, too. [edit: actually I did. I'm an idiot].
Anyone who'd make fun just needs to get a life. I mean, Amy Lee is classically trained. It's why Evanescence's orchestrations are so good.
And some of the best pop songs are actually rip-offs of classical ditties (anyone who sings "All By Myself" is actually singing Rachmaninov's 2nd
Piano Concerto, for example). :D
